Alessandra is a senior international leader, who has lived & worked in Italy, UK , Czech Rep. & USA. Passionate about Brands & Innovation, bringing strategy and vision to life, winning customer and colleague hearts and minds. Now embarking on a Portfolio Career, in Advisory and Non-Exec Roles.
Alessandra worked at Tesco for nearly seven years as Group Chief Customer Officer, where she brought together all the disciplines of marketing, advertising, innovation and insight, to create strong and distinctive brand propositions & communication.
Leveraging Tesco’s deep and rich understanding of its customers, Alessandra and her team transformed the Tesco Clubcard into a future looking engagement platform, serving customers in relevant and personal ways, as well as an opportunity to engage suppliers’ Brands to reach their customers more effectively.
In 2021, Alessandra was appointed President of the Advertising Association. She was also Chair of Teens Unite from 2018 to 2022.
Prior to Tesco, Alessandra worked for Unilever for over 20 years, holding different board- level positions in marketing and general management in Italy, Central & Eastern Europe and the USA.
Alessandra started her career in advertising at JWT Milan, as an apprentice straight out of school. She worked in advertising for 12 years in both Italy and the UK.
Alessandra has two grown up children, lives in London and travels around town on a baby-blue Vespa.
