Giles Brook is a renowned serial start up CEO, entrepreneur & investor and has been a leading factor behind the success of flag ship challenger brands such as innocent, BEAR, Vita Coco, Mindful Chef, Bio & Me, Pip & Nut, Freja & Surreal. Giles spent 12 years as CEO of Vita Coco EMEA launching coconut water in Europe and scaling it to £60m in retail sales before the parent company NASDAQ listing in 2021. Vita Coco has since become one of the biggest global success stories in non-alcoholic drinks. Alongside this, he was founding partner @ Urban Fresh Foods, where its BEAR brand grew into the UK’s No.1 fruit snacking brand and leading kids’ lunchbox choice. The business featured twice in The Sunday Times Fast Track 100 and was acquired by Lotus Bakeries in 2015. Earlier in his career, Giles was Commercial Director & General Manager for UK & Ireland at innocent Drinks, helping grow the business from £17m to £120m in four years. Today, he builds and backs a portfolio of purpose-led health and wellness brands, typically as chairman or lead investor—70% female-founded and 90% B Corp certified. Many of these brands have secured Grocer Gold Awards & Giles himself was the first ever winner of ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the Grocer Gold Awards.
