Marcelo has over two decades of leadership experience in the food and beverage industry, with a career deeply rooted in commercial strategy and operational excellence. He joined Kerry in 1998 as part of the commercial team serving strategic customers in Brazil, and has held a number of senior leadership roles across Latin America, including President of Foodservice & Meat, and President of Brazil and the South Cone region. Since 2019, Marcelo served as President & CEO of Kerry Latin America, where he led a transformative portfolio shift aligned with evolving market demands, alongside several strategic acquisitions. He also championed the rollout of Kerry’s sustainable nutrition strategy, embedding it across operations and customer partnerships throughout the region. In August 2025, Marcelo assumed the role of President & CEO of Kerry Europe and Global Preservation, where he now leads the strategic development and execution of Kerry’s strategy, with a focus on innovation, operational excellence and customer partnership. Marcelo holds a BSc in Food Engineering from the University of Campinas and an MBA in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil.
