Fiona, former Chair and CEO of Nestlé UK&I, and former Chair of PWC's Public Interest Body. She also sat on PwC’s Advisory Council and was Deputy Chair of the Apprenticeships Board. Fiona was recently appointed to Skills England Board and is a senior advisor for Newton Europe.
Fiona started her career as a teacher but spent her working life with Nestlé in key strategic roles in the UK as well as at global level.
Founder member of the Food & Drink Sector Council and the Productivity Leadership Council. Fiona was a UK Commissioner for Employment and Skills and was Chair of a new university for engineers (NMITE).
Fiona was President of the Food and Drink Federation, previously led the F&D sector’s skills and competitiveness agenda, and co-chaired the UK F&D Export Forum.
In 2015 Fiona was created Dame Commander of the British Empire for services to the food industry and support for skills and opportunities for young people.
Fiona has been awarded honorary degrees by Warwick, Sheffield Hallam and York Universities, and the CMI Gold Medal for Leadership 2017
