Maria also writes about global supply chains and the commodities markets, including cocoa, coffee, soy and palm oil. Other areas of interest include the impact of food production on sustainability & climate change, as well as food security and agriculture policy, and human and labour rights. She was formerly senior reporter, covering some of the UK’s biggest retailers such as Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Marks & Spencer.
